Got my business cards! This is very exciting. I’ve been networking up a storm without business cards so when I’ve been meeting people, I usually have not had the forethought to bring anything to write my contact information on. So I scrabble around in my bag for about five minutes, tear a scrap of paper from a notebook or write on a napkin. For someone whose mandate is communications, this has not been so impressive. But now I can get out there and blitz Kingston with my business cards. This reminds me of my first few months on the job as a reporter some years ago. It was the best thing ever to have a “real” job with a business card and a title. Same feeling again. It is nice.
